UAS Juneau is offering a scholarship for their Introduction Mining class, a three-credit university course. The Introduction to Mining course covers a variety of topics in mining. It is designed specifically for students who are new to the industry, including those who may be looking to make a career change, get back to work, or who are interested in learning more about what it takes to have a rewarding career in mining. For accepted applicants, tuition will be covered for up to 20 local Juneau students, 30 distance-learning students, and 20 distance-learning students from across the state.
